🍇 A tradition that spans almost three decades 🍷 The 28th Wine and Ukljeve Festival will be held on February 28 and March 1 in Virpazar. The organizers of the event are the MZ "Crmnica", the Municipality of Bar, the Tourist Organization of Bar and the Association of Winegrowers and Winemakers "Crmnički vranac". 🐟 For almost three decades, this festival has been gathering winemakers, fishermen, producers of domestic products and visitors from all over Montenegro and the region, affirming the rich wine-growing and fishing tradition of Crmnica. 🎼 The program begins on Saturday, February 28, with a ceremonial opening at 11 a.m. During the first day, performances will be provided by FA "Rumija", Rajko Joličić, Akademia band, Milena Ćeranić and Nikola Bušković, and an award ceremony for the most beautiful song about wine will also be held. On the second day of the festival, on Sunday, March 1, performances will be provided by KUD "Jedinstvo", klapa "Assa Voce" and the group "Perper". On this occasion, awards will also be presented for the best wine, further promoting the quality and potential of domestic producers. ℹ️ A special segment of this year's festival will be a round table, which will be held on Saturday, February 28 at 4 p.m. in the building of the Skadar Lake NP Visitor Center in Virpazar. This expert meeting will raise two important issues for the development of the local community and national agriculture and ecology: "Vranac today and tomorrow - trends in winemaking and the perspective of the indigenous Montenegrin variety" "The state of the fish stock in Lake Skadar" This year, the Festival is also sending an important message - let's protect Lake Skadar! 🎣 For this reason, char will not be served at this year's festival, in order to make a concrete contribution to the protection of this indigenous fish species, especially during the fishing ban period.
