🎻Violinist Iva Durković will give a concert entitled "Past Forward" as part of the "Young Talents" cycle on Wednesday, March 18, in the large hall of the KIC "Budo Tomović", at 7 p.m. 🎶The program includes works by Rebecca Clark (Passacaglia on an Old English Melody), Anrije Vjetan (Sonata for Viola and Piano Op. 36), Meri Kujumdžijan (Boy and an Improvised Toy) as well as the world premiere of "Feedback Loops", impromptu for viola and piano by the Montenegrin composer Enes Tahirović. The artist will perform in collaboration with pianist Ana Pavićević. ✨️Born in 2002 in Podgorica, Iva Durković received her primary and secondary music education at the Art School of Music and Ballet "Vasa Pavić", in the class of Professor Jov Nikočević. During her studies, she participated in numerous competitions and festivals (Montenegro, Serbia, Albania, Great Britain, Italy), where she won first and second prizes. At the end of 2025, she graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, in the class of Professor Matthew Jones. From 2021 to 2024, she played in the British Youth Orchestra (YMSO) as the leader of the viola section. She held her first solo concert in Montenegro at the Budo Tomović Concert Hall in 2021 as part of the Young Talents cycle, where she later performed in 2022, and then at the Music Center of Montenegro (2003) and in Kotor (2024). During her studies in London, she performed in the Barbican, Cadogan and Sheldonian Theatre halls in Oxford. She has collaborated with famous artists such as German Clavio, Sarah Jane Bradley, Miloš Karadaglić, Simon Rowland Jones, Dmitry Prokofiev, etc. She is currently engaged in the Festival Orchestra of Montenegro (leader of the viola section), as well as occasionally in the Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra.
