Description

After Koper, Belgrade and Skopje, the Balkan Road Trip project will also be presented in Podgorica. For the first time in Montenegro, an orchestra of almost fifty flutes will perform on stage, bringing a diverse and dynamic musical journey. The program connects Slovenian musical tradition with the expressive characteristics of the Western Balkan countries (Serbia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina) and creates a strong intercultural dialogue. The concert will also feature the oldest known musical instrument in the world - a Neanderthal flute, about 60,000 years old, discovered in Slovenia, during the performance of a composition by Davorin Jenko. The Slovenian Flute Orchestra brings together academically educated flautists from all over Slovenia, united by a love of music and making music together. It was founded in 2024 as an artistic response to the need for connection and creation. 📍 MCCG Main Stage 🗓 Tuesday, 17. 03. 2026. ⏰️ 8pm ADMISSION IS FREE. 🎫 Free tickets can be picked up from March 12th at the box office, weekdays from 9 am to 3 pm. 📞 For information and reservations, call 068 004 900.
