Brukner romantičar
Roman SimovicDescription
“A medieval city, dawn, morning calls echo from the city towers, the gates open, knights ride into nature on proud horses, the magic of the forest takes hold of them, the song of birds and thus a romantic picture develops...” is the program description of the beginning of the first movement of the “Romantic”, Symphony No. 4 in E-flat major, by the Austrian composer Anton Bruckner (1824-1896). 🪄 There are as many as seven known versions of the Fourth Symphony, and the third version, for which the author composed a new finale (1878-1880), is the most performed to date. 🎶 The Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra premiered the “Romantic” Symphony in December 2021. At the concert to be held on Friday, March 13, under the direction of chief conductor Marko Korović, one of the most significant works from Anton Bruckner’s oeuvre will be performed for the second time at the Music Center of Montenegro.
