Description

🎼The music program in the autumn season of the Cultural and Information Center "Budo Tomović" opens with a concert by the distinguished Zagreb Chamber Orchestra, which will perform on September 17th at the Modern Gallery of the Museum and Gallery of Podgorica at 8 p.m. The concert is part of this year's Podgorica Cultural Summer. 🎶The orchestra's repertoire consists of works of classical and contemporary music, with the participation of soloists - violists Naomi Konforta and Petromila Marac Jakas. The concert program in Podgorica includes works by Antonio Vivaldi, Bela Bartok, Wolfgang A. Mozart, Jules Massenet, Krst Odak, Isaac Albeniz and Luigi Boccherini. ✨️The Zagreb Chamber Orchestra (ZKO) brings together exceptional musicians who perform baroque, classical and contemporary music, presenting the audience with a wealth of serious notes. The orchestra was first founded by Rudolf Matz in 1937, and was revived in 2004, when violinists Mladen Dervenkar and Marko Mađarić gathered fifteen young string players from the Zagreb Academy of Music. Over the years, the ZKO has collaborated with distinguished soloists and conductors, including Maxim Fedotov - the celebrated "Russian Paganini" and honorary leader of the orchestra, cellist Monika Leskovar, pianist Galina Petrova, and composer, conductor, and pianist François Vigel. Their interpretations have often been described as a blend of technical virtuosity and expressive musicality. A special contribution to the development of the orchestra was also made by former concertmasters Diane Pascal, Tonko Ninić, and Orest Shourgot. 🎵ZKO is the organizer and holder of the international festival Musica Maxima, which, under the artistic direction of Petromila Marica Jakas and Maxim Fedotov, brings together great names from the world music scene. Thanks to these collaborations, the orchestra hosted famous artists such as David Geringas, Karolina Adomeit, Stjepan Hauser, Marija Vidović and many others, thereby confirming their significant role in the preservation and promotion of classical music. Entrance is free. Welcome!
