BOKESKA NIGHT – KOTOR IN THE RHYTHM OF THE SEA AND MUSIC This year, Kotor is preparing for the most joyful and colorful summer event – Boka Night, a cultural and artistic spectacle that has the status of an intangible cultural asset of national importance. On Saturday, August 23, starting at 9 p.m., the Bay of Kotor and the Old Town will once again become the stage for an unforgettable celebration. The traditional sea parade will be opened, as always, by the sailboats of the Lahor Sailing Club, after which, in three festive rounds, boats adorned with imaginative decorations, led by the City Music, will set sail in front of the audience and the jury. The technical commission, consisting of Marjan Šantić (president), Slaviša Grubiša and Bruno Janković, is already working hard on selecting the most creative boats that will compete for prizes from a fund of 3,000 euros. After the best performers are announced, the sky over the bay will be illuminated by magnificent musical fireworks from the sea, and the celebration will then move to the heart of the Old Town. At the Weapons Square, the atmosphere will first be warmed up by the energetic Fankulo band, before the highlight of the evening will be a great regional star – Doris Dragović. At the same time, numerous other performers will also perform at other city squares: • St. Tripuna Square: Prizma band and the legendary Perper • Flour Square (near the Astoria Hotel): The Grupa and DJ Dimi • Svetog Luke Square: DJ Buba, Kristijan Molnar and Luka Tarle The Kotor City Music will officially open the evening part of the program with a street parade, announcing the start of the concerts.
