Xam is the alias of Belgrade-based artist Matija, whose musical journey began at the age of twelve behind the drums. That early sense of rhythm drove him to later on develop a strong passion for production and DJing, experimenting with different genres. Known for his groove-focused approach, his sound blends rolling house groove with acid elements or tribal percussions while touching upon oriental and old-school vocals, with distinctive influence from 80s and 90s. His openness behind the decks keeps things fresh, while his sense of timing keeps the dancefloor locked in. With several releases already under his belt, Xam is a promising upcoming producer, steadily carving out his place in the underground scene.
