This is not just an evening of live music - it is a musical journey through the cultures and styles of Eurasia. Dmitry Taranov is a traveler who explores the world through music. His work is a synthesis of jazz, academic music, as well as elements of the classical traditions of Europe, India and the Arab world. Having started his journey in Russia, Dmitry absorbed the musical and cultural characteristics of the countries in which he lived and worked: India, Israel, Montenegro, Georgia and the United Arab Emirates. At the concert, you will hear rare instruments of the East, such as the sarangi, an instrument from Nepal, whose history goes back more than 4,000 years, and the oud, an instrument from the Mediterranean countries. The musician will perform original works, as well as rare compositions, carefully collected by Dmitry during his travels over the past year. Each of them is a reflection of the life and spirit of the place where it was born or heard, be it an ancient Indian raga, a Middle Eastern rhythm or a Balkan melody. This concert is not just a performance. You will have an evening of contemplation, inspiration and deep immersion in the live music of the world.
