Friday, October 10, 9:00 PM An atmosphere of improvisation, soul, and live energy—all in one evening with Mona Byrd. Mona Byrd, a Kyiv native now based in Hamburg, is a jazz singer with a deep sense of style and a unique timbre. She is a member of the Mona & Hammerbrook Sound Maschine project, whose analog funk recordings can be heard from record stores in Tokyo to the finals of breakdance battles in Los Angeles. This evening, she will present a program of jazz standards in a duet with virtuoso guitarist Alexander Dyachenko. Special guest of the concert is MC Fame, a legend of Kyiv hip-hop, master of beatboxing and freestyle, whose participation will add unexpected rhythmic color to the evening's jazz. Tickets at the door are €15.
