Budva is kicking off the season with serious energy! The 23rd Budva Carnival runs from May 1st to 3rd, and the music lineup is completely stealing the show. May 1st brings an epic night of world-class tribute bands right to the Old Town. Get ready to rock to AC/DC hits with Band X, dance to ABBA classics with RING, and experience the legendary David Bowie catalog with GIFT. It’s the perfect excuse to hit the coast for top-tier live music and unbeatable festival vibes. Here’s the official description: --- The event kicks off on April 30th with Abrum along the Budva Riviera – from Petrovac to Pržno and Sveti Stefan to Rafailovići, when masked groups will invite citizens and visitors to the carnival with music. The program continues on May 1st with an authentic Budva Abrum through the streets of the Old Town, while on May 2nd there will be a grand carnival procession and a rich entertainment program inside and in front of the walls of the Old Town. A gala cocktail party for FECC officials, representatives of embassies and carnival groups is also planned for the same day. On May 3, the stage belongs to the youngest – the children's carnival procession closes the three-day program. A special highlight of this year's carnival will be the May Day concerts of tribute bands, an evening dedicated to lovers of quality music. The audience will enjoy the performances of the bands GIFT (David Bowie tribute), RING (ABBA tribute) and Band X (AC/DC tribute) performing world hits, which will end the carnival program in the spirit of good fun, music and togetherness. The organizers – the Municipality of Budva, the Tourist Organization of the Municipality of Budva and the NGO "Feštađuni" – jointly emphasize the importance of the carnival for Budva and its key importance in creating a pre-season atmosphere. Acting Director of the Budva Tourist Organization, Milan Tičič, particularly emphasizes that it is crucial that the dates of the carnival are announced and published in the media through all promotional channels. In this way, as Tičič explains, the entire Budva economy - hoteliers, private publishers and caterers - can readily open the pre-season and welcome hundreds of participants, as well as numerous visitors to Budva who will enjoy the carnival program during the non-working days of the May Day holidays.
