Grammy Award winning American jazz trumpet and flugelhorn player, composer and producer, based in New York City, USA Born 27 November 1945 in Cheltenham, Pennsylvania, USA Previously married to jazz/classical pianist [a=Eliane Elias] in the 1980s, with whom they have a daughter [a=Amanda Elias Brecker] (a jazz vocalist herself); they divorced in 1990. In 2010 he married saxophonist [a=Ada Rovatti]/[a=Ada Brecker]. He collaborated musically with both of his wives. His brother, the late [a=Michael Brecker], was also a jazz saxophonist. Co-founder (with his brother Michael) of the jazz club [l=Seventh Avenue South, New York City], and the production company [l=Brecker Productions].
